What is DPI?

What is DPI?

When you are seeking flyer printing, business cards or brochure printing you are often told that your artwork should be designed at a certain DPI? For non graphic designers this is simply just jargon.

Dpi stands for dots per inch and means one measure of resolution. It refers to the dots of ink or pixels that make up an image or picture that is either displayed on a computer screen or printed on a piece of paper.

Getting the right resolution for your flyer printing, business cards, brochure printing or any other print product is essential to get premium quality

For flyer printing, business cards and brochure printing your dpi should be set to 300. For roller banners your dpi should be set to at least 125 dpi.
